Movimpresse - Business Register
Content, coverage, definitions
Movimprese is the quarterly statistical analysis of mortality-born business conducted by InfoCamere on behalf of Unioncamere.
The archive on the Web, open since 1997, provides access to electronic data from the first quarter of 1995.Data are available on:
- Registered enterprises
- Active enterprises
- Entry
- Exit
- Other demographic events (changes)
- Inactive enterprises
- Suspended
- Liquidations
- Failures/bankruptcy
Registered enterprises: All entreprises, not ceased, regardless of their status (active, inactive, suspended, in liquidation, bankruptcy).
Active enterprise: Company registered in the Business Register engaged in one or more activities and without insolvency proceedings.
Inactive enterprises: Company registered in the Business Register that is not engaged in an activity. In some cases there is a considerable number of firms that are inactive for the registry, but which actually are not; this phenomenon is particularly relevant in the Register of Rome Companies.
Suspended: Companies registered in the Business Register which has ceased activity following decisions of administrative authority (health, Public Safety, local police) and courts. The suspension of activities for short-term and seasonal work is excluded.
Enterprise in liquidation: Company registered in the Business Register of Companies under a liquidation procedure which has not been rescinded:
- judicial liquidation (when the dissolution was approved by Judge)
- voluntary liquidation (when the dissolution is voluntary)
Failures/bankruptcy: Company registered in the Register of Companies with bankruptcy proceedings in bankruptcy has not been rescinded, or having in place any of the following:
- failure
- wound up
- arrangement
- Agreed Bankruptcy
ENTRIES: all entry events taking place during the registration period (Quarterly).
EXITS: Discontinued businesses. Exit (cessation of activity) events are taken into account if some of the following information is available:
- reason for cessation
- date of cessation
- cessation "effective" date ("Effective Date")
Cessations in a given period are independent of the date of cessation: a company can disapear during the period under review and the cessation date might not belong to the period under review.
CHANGES (OTHER EVENTS): Some "Changes" are not linked to exit or entry events but to changes in location, economic activity or legal form.
Statistical units
Enterprise, local units are excluded.
È l'attività economica svolta da un soggetto (individuale o collettivo) - l'imprenditore - che l'esercita in maniera professionale e organizzata al fine della produzione o dello scambio di beni o di servizi. Nel Registro delle Imprese, un'impresa, anche se ha sedi secondarie e/o unità locali, viene iscritta solamente nel Registro tenuto dalla Camera di Commercio in cui è situata la sede principale dell'impresa stessa.
