The insolvency statistics provide information on all the Austrian insolvency (bankruptcy and opened bankruptcy claims rejected for lack of funds) according to the amount of exposures, broken down by province, by industry and by legal forms. The analysis is based on the one hand, the data transmitted to the competent regional courts and district courts, and other information from the KSV-economic database.

The KSV created these reports regularly to the first quarter, with the first half, for the first through third quarter and an annual evaluation. In addition, a bankruptcy this is a detailed overview of the current economic situation in Austria. The comparison of the bankruptcy data reflects the current state of the economy.
The evaluation of the KSV-Bankruptcy statistics are based on a standardized method, which regularly provides the same kind of analysis and, therefore, the insolvency figures for years consistently maps.
